Some different strokes

A painting, more abstract in its contents.
Sometimes trying something different & fresh renews our painting skills.

Primula collection

3 Small paintings of primulas. As a set or individual on a easel.

I always loved beatix Potter books, I am an abbot collector.
Here a little winters letter..
More letters to children from Miss Potter can be found in the lovely tome "Letters to Children from Beatrix Potter" by Judy Taylor

My dear June,

What a nice letter you wrote to me and Tuppenny! He thinks you must be a big grown up girl to write letters like that! His hair is very long, he has grown his winter coat, but I cannot draw it properly with ink because the long hairs are all white. He is very fat and well and twitters when he sees me coming, with a dish of bread and milk and an apple. He has not been out of doors for more than a few days this summer, because the weather has been chilly and wet. The turkeys and chickens do not like it at all. They have all had colds, coughing and sneezing and ruffling up their feathers...
Tuppenny and I send you lots of xxx

Winter

Those winter days are here in South Africa. Through this window a look outside at those striped trees.Leave you with this quote..

Of winter's lifeless world each tree
Now seems a perfect part;
Yet each one holds summer's secret
Deep down within its heart.

New York, New York

New york, new york

Start spreading the news, Im leaving today
I want to be a part of it - new york, new york
These vagabond shoes, are longing to stray
Right through the very heart of it - new york, new york

I wanna wake up in a city, that doesnt sleep
And find Im king of the hill - top of the heap

These little town blues, are melting away
Ill make a brand new start of it - in old new york
If I can make it there, Ill make it anywhere
Its up to you - new york, new york

New york, new york
I want to wake up in a city, that never sleeps
And find Im a number one top of the list, king of the hill
A number one

These little town blues, are melting away
Im gonna make a brand new start of it - in old new york
And if I can make it there, Im gonna make it anywhere

It up to you - new york new york

Classes

A year ago I started giving art classes. My students mainly learn to paint in oils.
Last night we loosened our hand by playing around with charcoal and pastels.

The human figure is sometimes a challenge to some artists.
